Born in Mexico City, since I was kid I have been always fascinated by science and technology.  I studied Chemical Engineering in UNAM, Mexico, then went to Toulouse France for my Masters and Ph.D. degrees in Process Engineering. I have been working as a Researcher since 2008 in the Electrical Research Institute and started working as an external consultant since 2010 in a variety of multidisciplinary projects in the following subjects: Corrosion control, Georeferenced Information Systems (GIS), Fuel cells, Hydrogen energy, Biofuels, Municipal Solid Waste Management, Water purification and others. I started to work with the founders of the AI3D since 2010 and took the opportunity to  apply to the Bill and Belinda Gates Foundation for the Grand Challenges Explorations Program (round 7), which is why it is possible to join you in South Africa for my presentation on our work on this project.
