Nick Preneta is Deputy Director of SOIL (Sustainable Organic Integrated Livelihoods), an organization working to promote ecological sanitation in Haiti.  He has an MPH and has lived and worked in Haiti for six years.  After the earthquake in 2010 Nick joined SOIL and helped implement a drum-based, temporary urine-diversion toilet system for use in IDP camps.  He has worked with SOIL to develop compost sites where feces from the UD toilets are transformed into compost using the principles of thermophilic composting.
