Lars holds a Masters degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences in Giessen, Germany. He joined the Excreta and Wastewater Management Team at Sandec/Eawag this year as a Research Assistant for a collaborative SDC funded project on “Resource, Recovery & Reuse”. Previously, he worked with the Pollution Research Group at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and his master topic was about ABR technology and conducted research at the DEWATS treatment plant in Newlands-Mashu, Durban.
